Montessori Middle School Program

The Educational Syllabus for a Montessori Middle School program focuses on three main areas: Self-Expression, Psychic Development, and Preparation for Adult Life. The Preparation for Adult Life includes the study of the earth and living things, the study of human progress and the building up of civilization, and the study of the history of humanity. All of these components are included in the educational program at Cape Cod Montessori School.

The curriculum is centered around two types of projects:

• Humanities
• Occupations

The projects run for two sessions of two weeks each, or a total of four weeks per project. Humanities Projects and Occupations alternate so that on any given week, a student will be focusing on one or the other.
